war Posted March 14, 2018 Share #2542 Posted March 14, 2018 That cap and uniform don't look Swedish but that guard house is in front of one of the entrances of the Stockholm Royal Palace. It's used for the official business of the King and Queen and receptions, but I think they reside elsewhere, so that question of who lives there is still open. AZach Posted March 14, 2018 Share #2543 Posted March 14, 2018 (edited) Thanks for this reply and according to the web-pages (http://www.kungahuset.se) actually ”The Royal Palace of Stockholm is His Majesty The King's official residence”. (And the Royal Family is originally from France, the House of Bernadotte) So over to you. Edited March 14, 2018 by AZach
war Posted March 14, 2018 Share #2544 Posted March 14, 2018 If these buildings and the architect are not readily recognized, I'll post one with context. Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted March 15, 2018 Share #2552 Posted March 15, 2018 Tony - I think you you've not been here long enough to have noticed the conventions of this thread: A person posts a "mystery" building, and whoever is first to identify it posts the next mystery building. Although all three of your buildings are well photographed and interesting, I must ask you to conform to the way we play this particular game. The last building posted by somebody who identified the mystery building was WAR's (Wally). Wally?

war Posted March 15, 2018 Share #2554 Posted March 15, 2018 Thanks Stuart, but I don't have anything good to post right now anyway so why don't we just continue with Tony's post. It's good to have a new "enthusiast" joining in. regards, wally
war Posted March 15, 2018 Share #2555 Posted March 15, 2018 Tony: Your last three architectural images are quite nice. You should think about also posting in the Architecture thread as it could use some nurturing.

AZach Posted March 27, 2018 Share #2557 Posted March 27, 2018 Tony did not confirm the (obvious) Pantheon, but I will take the liberty to post the next one. Somewhat similar style but unlike the Pantheon this one has been used as warehouse and car repair shop as well. Welcome, dear visitor!
