mmanda Posted September 6, 2011 Share #25 Posted September 6, 2011 Loving these photos whilst I'm waiting for my new to me M8 to arrive. This is my second one. The first one died with shutter failure fortunately whilst under it's 3 month warranty. I got a refund and bought an Olympus E-P3 because I got spooked by the used camera dying = expense thing. The Olympus didn't live with me for even a week as it felt plasticy and it wasn't an M8!! So I'm diving in again. I just loved the shooting experience and was heartbroken when the first one died. Can't wait to get my hands on my new one :!

NikonJeff Posted September 7, 2011 Share #28 Posted September 7, 2011 Hows that 35 treating ya? I love it! If I can figure out how to actually embed a photo I would put some shots up I also acquired a Zeiss ZM50/2 and a Summicron 50/2 (recent w/6bit) and am torn as to which one to keep... I bought the Summicron with an M6TTL and am considering selling the M6TTL as well...

Brandon Skinner Posted September 7, 2011 Share #34 Posted September 7, 2011 Put your dot in a glass with acetone. Wait a night, clean it and you will have a silver Leica dot. Almost a M8P You could probably just do it in Silver Efex Pro as well

menos I M6 Posted September 12, 2011 Share #40 Posted September 12, 2011 Nice!I like to wear .. How do you get? Another thing, The Hektor need focus adjustments? To get the wear, use it ;-) I used the M8.2 now for more than a year almost daily, since adding a M9 too a little less, but there are no reservation regarding shooting the M8.2 next to the M9 except for a preference towards the M9 in low light. I had to collimate the Hektor to be spot on on the M8.2 and M9 (as well as the film bodies). It was easy to do, as I had the lens completely disassembled anyway, when I cleaned and relubed it. Love that lens ;-) My sample seems somewhat special, as it in fact focusses down to 1m ! I am still trying to find out more details about this (factory conversion or did leave some Hektors with close focus ability?
