Get back to work and quit horsing around. Okay late Sunday night funny

Actually starting to like ACR lately, just opened it and bumped exposure up a little. 28 cron i think very close to wide open. Just love this lens , it has become the body cap.

Oh and Jack agrees. LOL Have a great Monday

Like you, I almost spend my time on the digital forum only ... these photos remind me that Leica is all about taking pictures, thanks for sharing.

BTW ... calendar means absolutely nothing to me, even when I "sleep" I have a bot crawling the web for me. :D

i think this thread belongs to "nature & wildlife" in the photo forum.

although some technical information is given ("acr", "28 cron") there is no reason for posting in the digital forum.

Guy, I agree with you the 28 cron on the M8 is just a lovely combo.

Great pix by the way.

im,

I wouldn't mind you expanding on your technique!

Just checked Light Room and I have no Velvia preset. Could you explain your preset technique please? Cheers!

Rob this is a ranch in Tucson which has been around since the early 30's and went through some generations of family and such it is literally at the end of the road right where the Rincon Mountains start the farthest east point of Tucson. Anyway they say there are the largest ranch in the southwest. They have 170 horses with all breeds Morgans included. very interesting ranch and history behind it.

Guy, I tend to agree. I did some tests the other day ACR 3.6 -v- C1 LE. One obviously can't see anything that is not there in the DNG file but it seems, like it always tends to be, a trade off. Coincidentally I also used the 28mm f/2 Summicron ASPH.

In my tests the C1 gave slightly sharper, images, i.e. the edge contrast was higher and the resolution was slightly greater but the ACR actually contained more information, even though it was less sharp. These differences are too subtle to show with any accuracy on this forum due to the technical limitations of low resolution jpeg but I'm satisfied they are real and reproducible. Other than the small colour advantage of C1 I actually prefer the ACR. The C1 has a slightly "Hard" look somewhat like 35mm film whereas ACR has a look a bit more like MF though one should not over state this difference - it is subtle. Some will prefer one and some the other - that is just fine - this is in no way a value judgement.

Yes I have and another good program.I need to upgrade it. I have a issue though when I open aDNG image in ACR than try to use that DNG image in Raw developer the sidecar file corrupts the data for use in RD . I have a setting wrong in my preferences in ACR and need to figure that out

Bob it is a color space that has a narrower band of color for the web and also most labs like Walmart and Costco use this profile for printing. Most P&S camera that is the color space they use

Hello Guy—nice to hear your voice!

Nice images. I use ACR as you know, too, even though I have C1 Pro and Nikon Capture—I think it takes a long time to become proficient in Raw processing, in any program, and that slight differences in the 'engines' will be masked by one's overall skills with the software. And I have found (with the DMR, the 5D and the D200) that any slight softness in the files produced (compared to C1) can be eliminated entirely without the result looking sharpened at all, providing critical focus was achieved (and assuming that the ISO chosen is not noisy).

On the last point (and probably most members know this already) it's worth mentioning that even if high ISOs are used, and noise is present, the noise is FAR worse if critical focus is not achieved. cheers, kl
