kepstein Posted February 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here is an indoor picture shot under incandescent light, my M8 set to AWB: They are processed in Lightroom. First is a RAW import, second is with WB set. What happened to the first one? Thanks, Ken
harmsr Posted February 12, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2007 WB & a lot of IR contamination from the lighting. You will find that the WB becomes MUCH more consistent when using the IR filters, however it still does need improvement in firmware. Basically for color you really need to use the IR filter for most lighting. Best, Ray
gesper Posted February 12, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2007 I suggest shooting in RAW and using C1's WB tool. AWB is useless.
carstenw Posted February 12, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 12, 2007 I presume you are using the Lightroom beta, as am I. This version sometimes does this. Try developing that shot in C1LE, which came with the camera. It does much better. The final release of Lightroom is meant to be much improved. Yes, those pictures are imported into Lightroom, but when I import the Raw file into C1, it looks the same before processing.
carstenw Posted February 12, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 12, 2007 That is possible, but after processing it will look much better than in Lightroom. The blue/yellow scale in Lightroom does not go far enough.
eronald Posted February 12, 2007 Share #7 Posted February 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Use a 486 filter, C1 and my profiles and your color will be at the very least decent - and skin tone is good. Edmund
