I cannot remember the M8 user who said hello today in Union Square. I have a couple M8 pics for you.

I'm in the area as well. Wondering if we should arrange an M8 get-together.

Heading north to Marin County is a fine suggestion, but I'd also suggest going south down hwy 1, stopping by Pigeon Point lighthouse, Ano Nueva park (don't know if the elephant seals are out this time of year), Davenport, and Santa Cruz. Even when it's raining or foggy, the "San Lorenzo gorge" in Henry Cowell state park and Nicene Marks (in Aptos, I believe) can be absolutely gorgeous places to walk around, and with all this recent moisture you're bound to see some amazing mushrooms and perhaps a banana slug or two. Love those redwoods.

Equally interesting when it's raining are the more industrial areas such as Alameda. Long lenses help, as some of the interesting stuff is behind fences which are closed for the weekend.

Sure. Where are the one or two places my M8 and I should explore in SF on a wet Saturday (today)? I have a car, but walking is fine. Anyone who knows San Francisco should respond. It is dark and rainy.

David,

The Presidio is wonderful, you don't have to worry about parking there. Within walking distance of your hotel is Chinatown (Grant and Bush St.). Once you walk down Grant to Broadway, you are in North Beach (our little italy).

If you are available later this afternoon (Saturday) say 2 or 3PM, I will be available as my girlfriend goes off to work. Otherwise, I would be available early tomorrow morning as the building at Fort Point (think where Jimmy Stewart saves Kim Novak under the Golden Gate Bridge) is now open Fri-Sun at 10 AM. Maybe etherfarm would want to join up?

I just Private Messaged you my cell phone#. Cheers!

Thanks to all for the ideas. I had a blast (Asian Art Museum is a knockout, Presideo, Golden Gate Park, Union Square and streets nearby. I have to come back. I missed so much.

I head to Phoenix tomorrow early. I will return! What a cool place this is.
