My M8 finally arrived today. It is a black one that came from a forum advertiser, Collectible Cameras. The first thing I did when it arrived was to shoot a couple test shots. The first being a shot of the sky, looking for dust and the next few with the Noctilux, checking focus accuracy. The camera is spot on in both the near and far distances.

Here are a couple shots from this afternoon. The first of my wife talking to a friend that was over for a visit. The second is my son just home from school and having a snack before going out skating.

This was shot with the Noctilux at f1.2 and 320iso.

Here I am using a Elcan 90mm APO, which is actually identical to the current 90mm APO ASPH, but engraved a bit different. this was at f2 and 320iso.

Here are a few more shots before the sun went down.

This is the 90mm Elcan again, f2, 320iso.

Test subject with a Leica grey card around his neck. I think this was the 24mm. I will use some of the ice and snow shots to fine tune my cyan drift correction.

This is from a lunch time meeting I had. Dr Roy is a former Commodore of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron and we happended to be meeting in the Commodore's room. this room has pictures of all the past commodores on the wall, including his picture. I used the 50mm Summicron wide open and 320ios.

There was no magenta shift on the shot of your wife? I guess her black clothing was not synthetic. My first wife shot with my 90 had noticeable shift. Glad you got yours I am truly enjoying mine.

Bill:

Her clothing was all synthetic. That was with the Noctilux and a 486 UV-IR filter. The M8 works well when the lenses are fitted with filters.
