plinden Posted February 8, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) One of the accessories I loved to use with my M6 was the (base mounted) lens holder. Unfortunately, by moving the tripod hole to near the middle, the holder won't work on the M8! Â I'm wondering if Leica could fashion one for the M8 that screws into the current tripod hole, with a recessed mechanism (similar to the baseplate key) and that has sufficient clearance for the bayonet mount to not damage the rear of the lens? the bayonet mount could then be centered under the axis of the lens to provide that wonderful balance. Â What do you think? Â Peter Linden
george + Posted February 8, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 8, 2007 I would certainly like to see one. Maybe Leica or one of the quality suppliers could design a new one - integral with a base plate like a handgrip and providing an, ugh, offset tripod hole. Â But then we need another solution for the handgrip - for those of us who use one. Â A challenge . . ., eh?
