teehas53 Posted February 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) OK, I know I'm going to feel stupid soon. I can't seem to figure out where to specify a camera profile in Lightroom. I'm not completely familiar with LR yet, but I've looked everywhere I can think of. I want to try out the JHR profiles - they look great in C1... Suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance! Tom
jedbest Posted February 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2007 Lightroom doesn't allow for the use of profiles. You can make presets, however. You might want to look at the tutorial done by Eric Chan Calibrate Adobe Camera Raw 3.x. You can create presets in ACR and then transfer them to LR. I hope this helps. asfeir Posted February 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2007 This seems to be a very good article, but how would you transfer the profile to Lightroom?
teehas53 Posted February 7, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted February 7, 2007 Thanks, I feel less hopeless now. I swear I saw posts here about people using these profiles in LR. Perhaps the memory is going... Tom
Englander Posted February 7, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 7, 2007 After you get the various numbers that result from the tutorial described above, you place the numbers in their appropriate slots in the calibration section of the develop module in LR. You can accomplish all that much more easily by using the script at http://www.fors.net/chromoholics/download/ However, LR 1 is not using the same ACR as its beta nor the one that is in PS CS 2, and probably not the one in CS3 beta; so I am not certain about the efficacy of transfering the numbers. The latest ACRs in CS3 and in LR 1 are much better that previous ACRs, so they probably require far less tweaking. Joe
