bradreiman Posted February 9, 2007 Share #21 Â Posted February 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) regarding "burn-in". i dont think lcd is susceptible. not positive but pretty sure this is a crt and plasma problem only.
clive Posted February 9, 2007 Author Share #22  Posted February 9, 2007 I purchased the M8 a week ago and have since noticed that after using the menu or set buttons and then switching the camera off I see lots of thin black horizontal lines running across the LCD monitor which disappear after about thirty seconds. Is this a known issue?   I called Leica N.J. this morning and was told that the thin black horizontal lines that run across the LCD monitor is a known issue and should be addressed by firmware 1.10  I was also told that the official operating temperature of the M8 is between 0c and 40c, so while some have been able to use the camera at quite low temperatures, I have nothing to complain about if the camera crashes when the temp is just -5c  Any thoughts on this?  Clive
carstenw Posted February 9, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted February 9, 2007 LCDs can also burn in. I see it very slightly in some areas of my Cinema display. Plasma is much more susceptible though.
