Bob Jackson Posted June 21, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 21, 2011 Thanks Ben. My friend Jeff Zwart did the adult version of the Soap Box Derby in LA and loved it; he also won it, and the Pike's Peak Rallye in a Porsche GT3 RS, as well. I think it was a Red Bull sponsored event. I'm thinking if the opportunity ever presented itself, I'd buy lots of carbon fiber bits and make an awesome adult Soap Box derby car for a gravity race. If I were 8 years old I would have been racing on Saturday, and so would have Virgil.
stuny Posted June 21, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted June 21, 2011 Bob - Â Can he beat Virgil's 360? Very cute, nicely done.
vdb Posted June 21, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted June 21, 2011 Bob, my favorite from this series. Another pov would have been on your knees, on the other Sid of his car and looking up into his face....still including the flag....easy for me to say:)
Oz_Hillbilly Posted June 21, 2011 Share #6  Posted June 21, 2011 I think you could have chosen a better vantage point to limit the distractions and get closer engagement with your boy's emotion and show more detail of the car. Often this would mean lower and closer. We want to see the car and the passion, no?  As is, just a colourful, in focus, snap shot.  Cheers  Oz
Bob Jackson Posted June 23, 2011 Author Share #7 Â Posted June 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) He never knew I was there Oz. So, what do you do, disturb the moment and set up a fake shot or go with it? That is the question, to be, or not to be stealth.
