I'm taking pictures since the beginning of work and proposed to the enterprise a photographic book on the building, from the beginning to the end, to be given to those buying the apartments. They seem to like very much the Idea. Â M8 + Summilux 35/1.4 Asph. Thanks for looking
Advertisement Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Hi epand56, Take a look here Iron Trees. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k-hawinkler Posted June 14, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Enrico, Â Interesting. What does it look like in color? Nice B&W image, preferred for artistic reasons by many. I feel that sometimes, lack of color is also lack of some info. It sure depends what the image is intended to accomplish. Â Best, K-H,
epand56 Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Hello K-H, thank you for your comment. Here you are the color version. I've posted the B&W conversion because I find it stronger.
k-hawinkler Posted June 14, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Hi Enrico, Â Many thanks. For me, the two images create completely different emotions. Â The B&W shows an uninviting sad almost foreboding place. Dark patches on the house walls contributing. Â In the color version the lighter colors, grey, pink, brown yellow, and even the blueish tone exude an almost cheerful mood by comparison. Also, the reddish colors on the Iron Trees make 'em appear more like trees. The faint blue in the sky also helps to improve the mood. Â I think both versions are strong impressive images. They are just very different. Â It will be interesting to see what the finished building will look like. I'll bet the color version will attract more buyers. Â With best regards, K-H. pauledell Posted June 14, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Enrico, Â If your original version was in color, I probably would have commented to do it in b&w, but for this picture, I seem to gravitate toward the color one. This is not to say the color is better than the b&w but that they are two different pictures with different moods. Â Paul

Guest Benqui Posted June 14, 2011 Share #8 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Great tone and contrast Enrico! I absolutely prefer no. 1, in the coloured version my eyes are not as focussed as in the b/w version. Great idea with the book!! Best regards Marc

Certainly one of a kind building. I am glad you document its creation. May be your book will show up in blurb? Fascinating exercise.  Thanks, K-H.
