Advertisement Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Hi MarkP, Take a look here Tap & Rock. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted June 14, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Mark, Â This shot has lovely colors but for some reason, I can't focus my eyes on this even though the picture seems in focus. I'm not sure what it is. Â Paul
MarkP Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks Paul. Â Intentional soft focus to give it an somewhat unreal feel...perhaps this doesn't work? Â Mark
tmldds Posted June 14, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Mark, I like it. However, if it were me, I would crop off the dark area on the left side to make the photo even more surrealistic. Â Tri:)
pauledell Posted June 14, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks Paul. Â Intentional soft focus to give it an somewhat unreal feel...perhaps this doesn't work? Â Mark Mark, Â Now that I know your what your intentions were in making this picture, I must say that it certainly did work. This has a sort of a storybook feel to me. Rather surreal. Doc Henry Posted June 14, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted June 14, 2011 I rarely foray into colour.Comments & criticism greatly appreciated. M9, 28mm Summicron ASPH Â "I rarely foray into colour". ...Mark, it is a success, you must continue it feels like a photo of the vegetation of the jungle beautiful color, a bit mysterious but I may have removed the faucet and water pipe if possible Thanks for sharing Best Henry
MarkP Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #7  Posted June 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for all of your comments.  I might do a bit more colour, processing was a lot of fun (assisted by CEP).  Mark    For Tri    For Henry
daveleo Posted June 14, 2011 Share #8 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Neat photo. I love the colors. The oof #1 worked until I saw #2, which I enjoyed more. #3 is too cropped for me. Â Please excuse a tutorial comment: sometimes I experiment by softening a duplicate top layer and then selectively erasing some areas off that layer to expose the unsharpened bottom layer in those areas. I can get some nice effects at times.
MarkP Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #9 Â Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks Dave, both for the comment and the processing advice( which I will try). Â I also like #2, but prefer the wider format of #1. However, I think I can unscrew the tap bracket to swing the tap out of the way as the pipe is plastic, and photograph it again (with more rock and without the dark recessed area to the right). Will try this weekend, weather allowing, and re-post. Â Mark
