Advertisement Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Hi pop, Take a look here Exhibition Square, Basel (3 images). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k-hawinkler Posted June 13, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 13, 2011 Philipp, Â Nice images. #1 stands out IMHO. Very graphical, reminiscent of cubism. #3 is very promising. I wonder whether it's possible to position the camera in such a way that exactly the upper right quadrant of the clock is blocked by the front building? Â Thanks, K-H. pauledell Posted June 13, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted June 13, 2011 Philipp, Â Marvelous composition, patterns, colors and clarity for #1. The others are good too. Â Paul
StS Posted June 13, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted June 13, 2011 I agree with K.-H. and Paul, #1 for it's simplicity and clear lines. Â Stefan
pop Posted June 14, 2011 Author Share #5 Â Posted June 14, 2011 K-H, Paul and Stefan - thank you. Â Unfortunately, the place where the building is seen to occlude the upper right quadrant of the clock happens to be in the middle of the traffic. daveleo Posted June 15, 2011 Share #7 Â Posted June 15, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Philipp, Â I like #1 for the geometry and it's overall feeling. Â The geometry of #3 would be even better if you could move so that the corner of the building there intersects the exact center of the clock. This might also make thoe people reflections up there bring more to the party. (But watch out for those cars )
pop Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share #8 Â Posted June 18, 2011 Juerg and Dave - thank you. Â I had second thoughts about quartering the clock. Some hastily done mock-ups appear to show that an exact quartering would result in a rather boring arrangement. The optimum appears to lie somewhere in between.
