Hello

after some trouble with the SOOKY-M on the M9 with refelctions in the SOOKY-M and some paintig inside the SOOKY-M, i got rid of flair and reflections. Attached some pictures taken today with M9, SOOKY-M, UOORF and Summicron (3rd Version/RIGID II)

I hope you like these pictures

Karl-Albert,

Lovely images, composition, colors, and selective focus.

You used your Rigid II Summicron, SOMKY, and UOORF very well.

Your lens is from the following time period: 1969-1979, correct?

I assume you painted a black color inside your SOOKY-M / SOMKY. Correct?

How about the UOORF?

Thanks, K-H.

Hello,

you are right, the lens has the number 2444176. The inside of the SOOKY-M had a shiny surface, the colour looked like burnished steel. The bajonett was blank steel all over. There were serious reflections visible in case of backlight. After disassembling the SOOKY-M (which is no problem at all) and paintig all inside surface except the ring having contact to the distance meter the flair had vanished, only a few typical backlight effects of the Summicron remained. However please be carefull in re-assembling the SOOKY-M because its thread has several thread pitches and must be assembled in a dedicated position, otherwise it will not work correect and block against the roll of the distance meter when you mount the SOOKY in the camera.

The UOORF had already inside a deep black and dull surface.

Hi Karl-Albert,

Many thanks indeed. I learn something new every day.

I have these devices and indeed the inside is covered with a black dull coat.

If I ever run into the problems you described, I know where to look.

My UOORF is marked 16508. My SOOKY-M / SOMKY isn't specifically marked.

The Rigid Summicron I have is from 1956. I just love that lens.

Thanks again.

Best, K-H.

I have no idea what this equipment is all about but the results are beautiful, delicate, delightful.
