Shot from the hip?

Were you afraid of them?

Or of their handlers?

Or their parents if they found them online on the Leica Forum?

Raises some interesting ethical and moral questions

Allen,

New Yorkers can have attitude problems that I never have experienced in China or South Africa. For example, I photographed a cute kid in the barber shop but his father objected because he was a cop. While in So. Africa, I photographed lots of kids and in China the grandparents push their children in front of my camera. Go figure?

William,

I am struggling with the question of posting images of young children that are not part of my extended family.

I don't have an answer except to voluntarily put restrictions on what I post.

Apparently, it's fine in some parts of the world.

Over here, in the US, there seems a lot of caution of parents protecting their young, understandably so.

This subject was recently discussed in the German part of this forum with some rather hard feelings on both sides.

Best, K-H.
