Are these the Remarkables on the South island? Most appealing contrast between the straight lines of the plains and the jagged mountains; terrific subtle colors and light.

Yes, this is the South Island, but I'm not for sure exactly where we were. We were traveling 60 mph on the highway just after sunrise. It was taken through the car's window with a Leica D Lux 1. Now, that I think about it, it's amazing it turned out as well as it did.
