tmldds Posted June 8, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted June 8, 2011 Lovely photo, Ben. I love the way that lens draws... Should I get one or a 75 Lux? Â Tri:)
roguewave Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share #10  Posted June 8, 2011 Lovely photo, Ben. I love the way that lens draws... Should I get one or a 75 Lux? Tri:)  They are essentially one & the same. For me, Dr Mandler's greatest achievement. The Nocti may have been a more difficult scientific exercise, but the R80 Lux and the M version 75 Lux, an almost identical formulation, are far more useful, dependable and have the most outstanding bokeh. Unfortunately, both are out of production and the cost of either has gotten out of control.

R8/DMR R80 Lux   Very nice image - captured a real 'smacker' - that R 80 Lux is a wonderful lens, I have one converted for my D700 - it enables lovely portraits.
