petert531 Posted February 5, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Older (28), commercial model. I did slip in some creative lighting which was a test for a more creative shoot I am hoping for. I am happy with my 'fake' sunlight in the black dress. The other is just daylight at the back of the studio with a large reflector. Â Peter
Advertisement Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Hi petert531, Take a look here Rheanne. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted February 5, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Peter - Â Lighting on all three work very well, and she too is capable of different looks which you have captured. My favorite is the simplist - #3, in which see looks the prettiest. The other two, though, are successful at engendering specific moods. petert531 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Thanks. The striped shirt was early in the shoot and was totally aimed at the commercial looking pictures I was asked for-I hope the agency will be happy. There are some more of those, but I only have fun when I get to play with light. I tried hard with Julie on Friday, but fell short, my skills just aren't there yet...my reach exceeds my grasp at this point. Â Peter
Guest xxl-user Posted February 5, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted February 5, 2007 i like the light in #1 Â a little more light in the eyes would be nice.
petert531 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Share #5 Â Posted February 5, 2007 I agree on the eyes. Problem with gels is that when white light hits it, it's gone. I was/am trying to find a way to get just enough light on the subject and still maintain the colours, AND keep it looking somewhat natural. You may notice in some magazines, that they sometimes just really pump up the gels and that's it. It's cool, but it makes the problem easy, especially with a blue gel. Â In this case I feathered an umbrella outwards. I think I will try a small 12x16 soft box next time. I don't know why I didn't this time, I would probably have worked better. I did this last week with Afroditi, I guess it was just myopic on my part. Â Peter
robert_parker Posted February 5, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted February 5, 2007 I like all three, #1 particularly. Â One thing I wonder about is the contrasting bench in #1, which to me draws the eye away from the face and upper body - #1 for me would work just as well if it were framed a little higher, to zoom in on the face and upper torso
