Wolfgang Esslinger Posted June 6, 2011 Share #1  Posted June 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Usually my DMR numbers photos continuously. After the last shooting I noticed that I have two sub-directories on the SD card:  103Leica 104Leica  What I find strange is that photos in 103Leica count up to L1031223 only. After a break of about half an hour (camera switched off, possibly (can't quite remember) changed batteries), the DMR created the 104Leica directory and started with L1040001.  Does anyone know why it does this? graeme_clarke Posted June 6, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 6, 2011 Hello Wolfgang, Â I cannnot give an explanation but I have had the same happen several times. The creation of a new directory seems to occur when the battery charge is very low and the camera shuts down. On replacing the battery a new directory is created. Mine is now up to 114xxx with only a few hundred shots in each. Â I cannot reset the camera - does anyone know how? I've tried renumbering the directory, for example to 113and last picture number on the SD card to begin 113xxx, then taking another picture ( a tactic that works on the M8) - but the camera renumbers it into the 114 directory it created earlier!
