I've counted the votes and the top 3 are as follows...

1st with 73 votes 'J' "Sand, Sea and Iron" by John Howarth

2nd with 44 points 'G' "Lost in Thought" by George James

3rd with 25 points 'H' "On the Beach" by Michael Farley

Congratulations to John who won by a large margin, and if John PMs me his address I'll put the prize DVD in the post next week.

Thanks very much Steve - I'm really chuffed! I got lucky with the light softening a bit, and waited a while on the present pier for some nice wave patterns. PM on its way.

Thank you everyone, and many congratulations to George and Michael - I really rated both of your pictures. More important than the result though is that it was such an enjoyable day; easy I suppose for me to say from this position, but it's true!

Congratulations to John for his winning entry, and to George and Michael. Thanks to Steve for organising the competition. It would be interesting to be able to put a name to all the other images.

Best wishes,

Juliet

Congratulations John, George, and Michael!

Interesting that all three winning picture featured the sea and a pier and some people -- but mainly the sea and the pier. They seem to have been the sine qua non.

All the best, John

Congratulations, George and Mike, but especially to John for your success with the shot that stood out in a high quality field.

It was a very enjoyable day so thanks again to Steve for organising and I hope it's just the first of many.

Pete.

Congratulations to the top three but especially to John - a very worthy winner indeed. Good strong field this time, too with good variation in theme and approach. Big thanks to Steve, too, for organising - it takes far more time and effort than you expect!

Regards,

Bill
