Capture One Help

Hi,

i'm new to Capture One LE and have been trying to convert some M8 raw files. When i process the files and open up the Jpegs, the image looks kinda blocky (like the image has small square bands around the whole image when viewed at 66 to 100%, as if a grid of small squares was placed over the whole image). Looks like an image that has been over sharpened but i disabled the sharpening. I tried converting the same image in Photoshop and did not have this problem but getting the white balance right using PS seems alot harder.

Any ideas what i might be doing wrong. Any good workflow tutorials on C1 LE?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Derrick

Thanks for the replies. Don't think it had anything to do with the file size or compression. I tried converting the RAW file to both jpeg-high and tiff-16. Could it just be noise? The image was shot at iso 640 and was pushed 1/2 stop.

Here is a 66.7% crop of an image (effect seems to be more pronounced at this magnification on screen) Can see it on the hand:-

Here is a 100% crop of a part of the image (seems quite ok):-

I don't remember seeing this kind of thing on any of my RD1 files at any magnification. I must be doing something wrong.
