Advertisement Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Hi semrich, Take a look here Bagging Produce. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted July 14, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2006 Richard - Promising, but on this monitor it is too dark. I'll try again from home -- I want it to work since the face and light on it are so interesting.
semrich Posted July 14, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 14, 2006 Stuart - I will be interested to know how it looks on you other monitor. I am now using Pantone's Huey for monitor calibration with the iMac where it sits on the desk constantly monitoring ambient room light. In my "digital darkroom" I purposely made it dark {it has to much noise to make it much lighter) it was more appealing to me this way, kind of like a painting. jmr Posted July 14, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 14, 2006 Richard, it's dark, but nice and dark in my opinion.
ptomsu Posted July 14, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 14, 2006 great shot, I assume exposure was excluding the light ?
stuny Posted July 15, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 15, 2006 Richard - On my home monitor (my work monitor is very !@#$! ) it is JUST bright enough, and has sufficient detail. If fully lives up to the promise I hoped it would, and now I even see a most interesting rayed glow from the light bulb.
semrich Posted July 15, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted July 15, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the update, it helps to know that my monitor is OK with its calibration. Richard

uulrich Posted July 15, 2006 Share #9 Posted July 15, 2006 Great example of a portrait! A salesman in a grocery store, mostlikely somewhere in Turkey. Good POV, almost voyeuristic. Black 501? - yes, I believe his 501 shirt adds to it. Thanks for posting. :-)
semrich Posted July 15, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted July 15, 2006 Jaak, Uwe - Thanks for your comments, its nice to have a picture come out this good when just playing around with the camera until the shopping is finished. And, this was taken in Turkey on the island of Buyukada just off shore from Istanbul. Richard
