I have been well...just returned from Daytona where Danica and the others tested this week.

 

Big SuperBowl today for us, too. I've got the TV on waiting for my Colts to pick up that big trophy in Miami!!!

I didn't know that Honda compete in the Daytona? Or is this a different event? What are the specs for this baby?

She's five foot two and one hundred pounds!

 

 

This was an IndyCar test at DIS, Art. They wanted to get the cars out and run them after the winter layoff, and to see if it was safe for them to run on the high-banked turns at Daytona. Last time somebody tried it (1959) they died.

 

 

No one suffered such problems this time, though there are safety concerns that will have to be surmounted if the cars are to come back to race for real someday.

 

I'm not sure what the telemetry was telling them, Peter. Danica was a slow-poke all week so whatever it was definately showed.

I do some freelance work for a couple of web auto racing sites.

 

It's not high-pressure and I work whenever they need me and I want to...kind of a glorified hobby at this point.
