Vivek Iyer Posted February 3, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted February 3, 2007 I do not think you need to modify it.

The frames are engaged by one of the 'wings' of the bayonet mount and the wing's length determines which frame comes up.  On the 35/135 mount, this wing has the shortest length, as the 35/135 frame position is kind of a default when there is no lens mounted on the camera. The 50/75mm mount is slightly longer, while the 28/90 is the longest.  It would be easy to modify a 28/90mm adapter by filing the appropriate bayonet 'wing' down to bring up a 35/135 frame, but not vice versa.  All the best,  Jan
doubice Posted February 3, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted February 3, 2007 Bill, Â Just to add to my previous post - theoretically, you could bring up the 90mm frame by turning the lens past the locked position. You can do this by holding the lens release button down when attaching the lens. This will key in the 50mm frame first, twisting the lens further, will bring up the 90mm frame. Â You would have a problem though in coding the adapter precisely, since the positioning of the coding lines would not always be in the correct place.
