They are blurry but I like them

Actually, the first image is excellent.

 

The point is the manner with which the composition moves from left to right with degrees of "movement" like a crescendo and decrescendo.

 

On top of that, there is a natural polyrhythm. 3:2. There is an interesting compositional triangle between the guy furthest to the left, connecting to furthest right, to the guy in the center... intersecting the two moving garbage cans.

 

The polyrhythm disappears in the second image, therefore, it is too symmetrical.

 

 

Don't analyze what the "box" is doing. The task-at-hand is the image.

Anne,

 

I like the first one for its composition with the two guys positioned as they are and the trash bins still down before being emptied which gives more substance to the picture. the only blur I see is the bins being lifted and the guy on the left leg. (not to detract from the picture). Nice composition, tones and sharpness except where noted.
