spylaw4 Posted February 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Clos Apalta in the Colchagua Valley south of Santiago is a modern winery dedicated to the production of the eponymous label, the top wine of Casa Lapostolle (owned by the same people as Grand Marnier). This new winery is sunk into the hillside overlooking the vineyards, and the winemaking process proceeds downwards. Grapes are hand-picked and selected and great care is taken over the entire process. Naturally the wine is expensive - in the UK around £36/bottle. stuny Posted February 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2007 Brian - Very nice series. Excellent idea to photograph the winery from this angle making it seem to be a different type of vine growing from the earth. Also like the the depth of the WA shot with a vines close to the lens, making the scene feel like entire operation is as one. the interior shots are most appealing patterns. spylaw4 Posted February 3, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted February 3, 2007 Thanks Stuart. It was difficult to get a meaningful shot of the exterior when at the entry and roof levels - not much to see!
