Just wait until they bring the canal through. This place is going to be transformed by 2008. It's a very exciting place to be. elansprint72 Posted February 3, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted February 3, 2007 No more takers? It is one of the vents for the Mersey Tunnel, there is a matching one on the Birkenhead side. Rather elegant it is too. Cheers, Pete.

Ah! Scally land! - It has to be a vent for one of the Mersey tunnels then. Mentioning the A55 reminds me that, soon after it opened, there was the first ram-raid ever on a warehouse in Gwynedd (the Warws mountain equipment centre in Beddgelert) - and guess where the Police found the culprits! It seems that the A55 brings Snowdonia within easy range for an evening's light breaking and entering... I forgot to say that I was born in Manchester, didn't I...!
