Guest roey Posted February 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 2, 2007 Well, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me: "wir haben Ihre Bestätigung der Transaktion in Höhe von EUR 47.94 erhalten. " means: we have received your confirmation of the transaction over the amount of Euro 47.94. Notice that they don't say that they have received the money -- only the confirmation, whatever that is. Then they ask you to wire transfer the amount to the account: Özcan Gölyeri Kto.-Nr.: 41...... BLZ : 44050199 Stadtsparkasse Dortmund In the P.S. section they are trying to sell you cat food and accessories. I'd try to send them an e-mail (and politely ignore the cat food offer ;-). They ask you to user the X79... order number when contacting them Hope this helps - Roey
Guest guy_mancuso Posted February 2, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 2, 2007 With paypal on international it takes a day or 2 to actually clear through paypal before they submit funding to the intended party
carstenw Posted February 2, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 2, 2007 Roey, they are saying that the transaction (sale) in the amount of €47,94 has been confirmed, not that the payment has been confirmed. Wilfredo, you need to contact them and explain about PayPal. If they don't want to be paid that way, they can reject the payment.

Guest Bernd Banken Posted February 2, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 2, 2007 Wilfredo, the account information which you received will not work on an international level. The seller must provide you the IBAN and/or SWIFT account datas. Then you can transfer the money to his account. The datas shown by you are for german transactions between to bank accounts. So let me help you if you want 1. I can contact the seller and ask for IBAN/SWIFT datas which I transfer to you by mail. 2. In order to speed up the transaction I will pay for you and you transfer the money to my bank account. But there is a small risk that the seller will be confused by this intergalactic transaction:D 3. If nothing will help you have to ask our Istanbul connection, it's Kamil with his M8. He easily can inform the seller by his mother tongue I guess:) So the old song from the Beatles "With A Little...." works just fine. Cheers Bernd
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted February 2, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 2, 2007 Yes, e-mail them your question ! Or use the phone: 0049 177 420 17 66 or FAX: 0049 0231 864 42 81 Good luck with your filter. At least much cheaper than the EUR 140.00 from Paris I read somewhere else round here. Best
Guest Bernd Banken Posted February 2, 2007 Share #10 Posted February 2, 2007 Wilfredo, just phoned with the shop and here are the international codes for your payment: SWIFT-CODE: DORTDE33 and IBAN-CODE: DE85440501990041010487 Good Luck Bernd
gravastar Posted February 2, 2007 Share #11 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi Wilfredo, The message you have seems to be the same as the automated one I received asking me to pay by bank transfer when I purchased filters. A few days later after I'd told my bank to make the transfer I received another automated one saying I hadn't paid and asking if there was a problem. My bank took 5 days to do the transfer, after which I received the filters in two days. Since you paid by PayPal you shouldn't have received this, however the important part of the message is the reference number X79...... without that they may not be able to associate your PayPal payment with your purchase. My problem was I received automated messages, not communication from a human. They seem to have a very large number of transactions going on at any time which is I guess why they have this system. I used Google Language Tools to translate their messages. Just copy and paste their correspondence into the Google window and choose german to english. Good luck! Bob. marknorton Posted February 2, 2007 Share #12 Posted February 2, 2007 It's a pity they don't accept credit cards or paypal. If you're in the Euro zone or have a euro bank account, you can make an online payment directly but the cost of transfering small amounts of money like this adds significantly to the total cost. macusque Posted February 2, 2007 Share #13 Posted February 2, 2007 I bought a couple of times from Oege-energy and they do accept paypal. The correct workflow with them should be to fill their form after the buy (no credit card needed), so that they give you a reference number different from the e-bay one. That reference number should be used during the payment via paypal (put it in the note field). Btw, all is ok if you simply pay directly via paypal. Indeed the first time I skip their form and I paid directly via paypal with the e-bay reference number, as usual. They sent me an automatic mail similar to yours with a reference number to use for the money transfer. I sent a mail (in English) stating that I had already paid via paypal with the e-bay auction number and they answered me with a short: "Hi, its no problem"... Indeed the filter arrived a couple of days later without any issue.
Guest guy_mancuso Posted February 2, 2007 Share #14 Posted February 2, 2007 I paid with paypal also and it just took a day or two for them to recieve it. I replied back to this e-mail and said I could not speak German and they wrote me back in English and confirmed the order and the payment.Just takes paypal that time to clear international reason your paypal account says it did not clear. I would not tranfer money yet but just send a e-mail to confirm everything first. I have ordered twice from them.
gravastar Posted February 2, 2007 Share #15 Posted February 2, 2007 Thanks for the information Marco and Guy. As Mark Norton said the bank charges can be significant and they take up to 5 days. PayPal is much more civilized Bob.
wilfredo Posted February 2, 2007 Author Share #16 Posted February 2, 2007 My thanks to all of you for your help with this situation, especially Bernd for going out of your way. I got a personal e-mail from them this morning and I replied letting them know that I had paid via PayPal and how much. I also checked my PayPal account and learned that the payment won't go through until February 5th, although it has already left my bank account. I guess this is one of the mysteries of the E-bay, PayPal world. I trust once the payment finally goes through, they will ship the filter. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, otherwise I'll follow-up with some of the suggestions offered here. We live and learn :-) I suspect I'll be receiving this filter right about the same time the Leica filters will arrive. Thanks, Wilfredo+

Thanks, Wilfredo+ Hallo Wilfredo Benitez, Hi Wilfredo, simple this happens all the time. They can not handle Paypal it seems they are not even aware you made the payment. gravastar Posted February 3, 2007 Share #19 Posted February 3, 2007 If the above is true then they need to remove the PayPal and Master card, Visa, Amex, Visa Electron... etc logos from the "Payment methods accepted" box on their auction page! It was those options being there which caused me so much confusion when I received emails asking for bank transfer or cash by registered post as the only methods of payment. Bob.
