DavidStone Posted April 30, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted April 30, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone here bought from, or sold via, MW Classic Cameras in London? They seem to be an on-line only business, based in North London, but with no shop premises. They have a very comprehensive stock listed, with a couple of interesting items, and I have a few things to sell, so I'm just wondering. Advertisement Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Hi DavidStone, Take a look here Buying and Selling in London. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted April 30, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted April 30, 2011 I haven't but I know that others have. They are, from what I understand, a highly reputable outfit. Â They are not to be confused with Classic Camera.
pgk Posted April 30, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted April 30, 2011 Yes, I've bought from them several times - everything has been as described and transactions have been fine. No idea about selling to them though - have you thought of trying the Buy & Sell section here?

zeitz Posted April 30, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted April 30, 2011 I have bought frequently from them. I've always been satisfied. Their prices are very reasonable, so stock moves quickly. I have never sold to them.

I have a mixture of things, accumulated over decades, not all of it Leica, so this seemed an easy solution for a bit of stock clearance. And I've reserved a lens which seemed too good to miss. I have never sold to them. Â I agree, I've bought some older M accessories from them at various times in the past few years, and have always been completely satisfied with the service I received. DavidStone Posted May 1, 2011 Author Share #9 Â Posted May 1, 2011 The lens I've ordered from them is the 21mm Elmarit-M, which is in fact still listed on their website. I hope that's just an oversight. 1983, according to its serial number, but seems to be virtually as-new. And I've sent off a box of stuff that I no longer need, for them to sell on commission, which should pay for the lens. Â But the Brits have a four-day weekend (that wedding, plus May-Day substitute Monday), so I'm waiting impatiently (and so is my M8) for the postal services to re-open in London. Â But it's very reassuring to know that there are satisfied customers here. Â David

Would be best to confirm your interest with an Email to MW Classic ... when I have purchased items by phone from them in the past they checked to make sure there were no previous Emails from other potential buyers.  dunk

Fingers crossed.  David
