This D Lux 5 is 6 months old, in recent weeks, several snap have turned out black ?

Phoned Mark Brady at Leica. Changed cards ,etc. Waiting to hear from him.

Yesterday I downloaded 62 pictures into the Mac, 23 were completely black frames?

Fully charged batteries, different SanDisk cards. Still black.

Any ideas will be most appreciated.

Dave

Bumped wheel, No! Checked other data:

Shot in RAW, My color mode,0 EV, f3.3, 1/400.11.1MB

62 downloaded, 23 were black. I just spoke with B&H, and Leica. Collective guess,

D Lux 5 is dying a slow death. The 1st one I purchased___my wife borrowed and I purchased a*2nd one. Then 5 more as gifts. This one is the only having problems.

Damn it. Just today, the right side of the LCD is turning gray.

Yes this the Leica*web site, but for P&S__I will use my older Canon G10 any day.

Had it re-built by Canon last Fall___like a new camera. Shooting in RAW, the Canon is much faster in transfer then the Leica, Not putting down Leica, been shooting them since 1948. But even Leica*it would seem can make mistakes.

Thank you for suggestions,

Dave

Pete,

Go get some sleep ! Bill and Kate will soon be married. Goober ! lol

No, not hardly a coal miner, but that is very funny ! Since my early post, spoke with

Leica*again, and the "top dog"__at B&H and I am getting a new camera.

No, I did pull out my _____pistol__nor audit by IRS___(the tax man)__spoke in a kind fashion. They recalled just how bloody good looking I am, and are sending a new one ASAP. (good looking, that is funny) they think just a camera gone bad. And will update me when it arrives at the factory. Like all my other cameras, treated with TLC__but it just died. I'll keep you posted. coal miner? The family would have had a stroke and died, opps they actually did long ago, really.
