ped Posted April 26, 2011 Share #1  Posted April 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Inspired by Elliott Erwitt's book, and a love for dogs, I am starting a project to take pictures of dogs and their owners. Here are some shots.    Crufts, Birmingham, UK    York town centre, UK   Pompeii, Italy   Vico Equense, Italy  I hope you can see the sort of thing I am going for. I'm not sure about the 3rd picture but I have included it anyway to give the others some context.  Cheers ped

ped Posted April 26, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks, I will. I'm going to try and travel around Europe, at least, to take some pictures. Â Unfortunately the book is a private venture, rather than one with a publishing deal in hand - but you never know! Â Cheers

LuxBob Posted April 26, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted April 26, 2011 You could be off on a lifetime's work. I would recommend visiting some dog shows. Nice idea and good luck. It would be nice if you could post some of your collection as it grows.
ldhrads Posted April 26, 2011 Share #7 Â Posted April 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice group, although #1 has too much contrast for me, I had to really look for the dog!! Â #2 reminds me of one I took in San Francisco and posted months ago titled "dog parrot" or something like that! Â I happen to favor #3 the most. Â Can't wait to see more. ped Posted April 26, 2011 Author Share #9  Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks a lot of the kind comments.  ldhrads, regarding pic #1, this was the first time I used Tri-X and my new scanner, perhaps I'll re-scan it and see if I can bring the contrast down a tad, thanks for the tip  ped
