Ecuador is correct. Sangay though is much further North. This place is very close to Podocarpus National Park in the southernmost province of the country. Sorry Stewart and AZach, I incorrectly stated that the province was the southernmost, it is not. The place you're looking for is in Loja Province, next to it. Podocarpus National Park lies in both Provinces, so that hint is still good.
war Posted February 27, 2021 Share #5867 Posted February 27, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Got to keep this thread moving, time for a hint. Why this tiny town in the middle of nowhere? Perhaps it's the water.
stuny Posted February 28, 2021 Share #5868 Posted February 28, 2021 Probably some hot springs, but i have no knowledge about them in Ecuador - The Andes are an amazing hotspot for geysers, springs and volcanoes.

Yes but to identify this valley, one would have to know what it is about this particular water that is thought to make some of its inhabitants unique. war Posted March 21, 2021 Share #5870 Posted March 21, 2021 We have to get this going, time for another hint: In this valley, it is thought that its inhabitants live to be very very old.
Michael Geschlecht Posted April 1, 2021 Share #5871 Posted April 1, 2021 Hello Wally, Do you think that we might get another hint? Best Regards, Michael
war Posted April 2, 2021 Share #5872 Posted April 2, 2021 Michael, glad to see you're working on it. Sorry it was not my intent to make this difficult. I thought that last clue was a give away. There are a few places in the world where it is believed that people live longer, this is one of them. Let's give this a couple hours to soak, then I will give it up.
