Advertisement Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Hi Coach, Take a look here The world from above - Game Thread. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
spylaw4 Posted May 12, 2011 Share #42 Posted May 12, 2011 True Gerard and as a result I got there before you! Now we're getting somewhere but wrong country Stuart.
Michael Geschlecht Posted May 13, 2011 Share #43 Posted May 13, 2011 Hello Brian, Perhaps this is Santiago Chile we are flying out of & these are the Andes. Best Regards, Michael
spylaw4 Posted May 13, 2011 Share #44 Posted May 13, 2011 Well done Michael, the only flaw is that we're flying in (from BsAs), not out. Over to you!
Michael Geschlecht Posted May 14, 2011 Share #45 Posted May 14, 2011 Hello Brian, I'm afraid I have to pass for now & will therefore give my turn to Gerard. Best Regards, Michael
Michael Geschlecht Posted May 15, 2011 Share #46 Posted May 15, 2011 Hello Everybody, I sent a PM to Gerard after my last Posting here but so far he has not replied to either this Thread or my PM to him. I think this is enough time. Perhaps stuny would be able to find a photo. Stuart, would you like to try? Best Regards, Michael
jaapv Posted May 15, 2011 Author Share #47 Posted May 15, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Michael, you really must start posting images yourself or stop supplying correct answers - The rule is: If you supply the right answer, you must post the next image - yourself, not somebody else. If you don't abide by those rules you kill off the threads.
Michael Geschlecht Posted May 15, 2011 Share #48 Posted May 15, 2011 Hello Jaap, I'm a person who has limited ability w/ computers. I have had a number of people on the Forum try to help me but I have not been able to figure things out. I have no one here to help me & don't have the ability @ this time to take a course to learn to do this. I don't even know how to make my printer work. This alone has cost me something in the neighborhood of 100 Euros in the last year & a half because I have had to make copies @ 10 Euro cents each @ the Library across the street from where I live. Not by choice. If I knew how to make things work or had someone to help me I would be glad to do what you ask. I don't. I would hope the position of the Forum is not that if a person is too disabled to properly use a computer then they are barred from participation. It does not seem to be in the spirit of what the Forum or most people who participate in it stand for. You especially strike me as a person who would be opposed to such discrimination. Please tell me what we can do to resolve this situation. I do try my best. Best Regards, Michael

stuny Posted May 16, 2011 Share #52 Posted May 16, 2011 Ian - A logical choice, but not the correct one. I took this from an amphibious Cessna 185.
wattsy Posted May 16, 2011 Share #53 Posted May 16, 2011 Somewhere in Alaska? Hubbard Glacier?
RPS Posted May 16, 2011 Share #54 Posted May 16, 2011 Stuart - what I REALLY want to know is why your wrist strap is flapping around in the wind, rather than being around your wrist -- you're obviously sitting at an open door, thousands of feet above the water. ;o)
stuny Posted May 16, 2011 Share #55 Posted May 16, 2011 Ian - Well done and over to you. Robert - Actually the chin strap of my cavalry hat. If not that, perhaps a tie-down on our pilot Laurie's port wing.
wattsy Posted May 16, 2011 Share #56 Posted May 16, 2011 Thanks Stuart. I'm afraid my archive is not exactly overflowing with aerial shots but I've dug this out. Naming the city is probably a bit easy so I'm going to also ask for the name of the high rise area visible below the wing tip. Welcome, dear visitor! wattsy Posted May 19, 2011 Share #58 Posted May 19, 2011 Perhaps we are in Iraq & we are looking @ the Zagros Mountains. A bit wide of the mark, Michael - both geographically and culturally.
stuny Posted May 19, 2011 Share #59 Posted May 19, 2011 I'd guess Europe, but only based on the aircraft.
jaapv Posted May 19, 2011 Author Share #60 Posted May 19, 2011 I would guess an older Airbus, but those fly worldwide.
