girphoto Posted January 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well it was time to take the M8 to the start of the Big Show and see what it could do. I took it to the Super Bowl Media Day or better known as the "Crush of Humanity". After doing 14 of these, by far this had what seem to be one of the largest group of Media from around the world (apx 3000). I had the M8 along with my Canon's and hit the crowd. I used the 28 Elmarit and a 15 Heliar with M ring for the overalls. Waiting for a new 50 (only 50 down for the count). Samples from the shoot attached. By the way this M8 is from the very first batch to hit the USA and has not gone in for upgrading to Germany. Gary Gary I. Rothstein, Photography Welcome, dear visitor! Certainly a lot more fun to walk with..The weather was the worse Lesson never get to far in front of the weekend warriors . Look where that ball is, just missed me Welcome, dear visitor! abrewer Posted February 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2007 Welcome to the Forum Gary! It's great to see my Colts getting some love from the national press!!! It's also great to see M8 shooters getting their feet wet with sporting events like the SuperBowl. That has to help the "somewhat troubled" launch of the camera and give amateurs and pros alike an extra boost of confidence with a purchase. Thanks for sharing! Look where that ball is, just missed me Guy Fun to see what you are doing with the 90 Summicron. Glad we could get together on this. I finally got mine (silver chrome) from Boris and as always the way he described the lens was totally accurate. He said it would be mint, no problems etc etc etc and he was correct. However he was also correct when he said it would cost a fortune for a chrome silver in this condition. Oh well, it is only money ...........right. aargh111LOL I was out shooting some really nice snow stuff today which I will post. Actually I will post because I think it is pretty good. Goodnight all Woody
arthury Posted February 1, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 1, 2007 Is #2 shot with the 28 Elmarit or the 15mm Heliar? The last one was certainly not with a 28mm, was it? Looked more like a longer lens? Anyway, great details!
