John Maio Posted January 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) In advance of the PMA convention, Panasonic has announced a bevy of new Lumix models. I'm presuming that Leica will follow suit with new C-Lux and D-Lux versions, but which ones? Lumix Cameras and more digital cameras from Panasonic

Par70 Posted January 31, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 31, 2007 I saw the new releases of Panny cameras..but There were no new 10 mp cameras...so I wouldnt expect there to be a new Leica badged one... No mention of any new leica cameras on the Leica website... Wishful thinking though..................

It simply defies logic to think that a camera that will have been out for four months woule be replaced by new model. —Mitch/Bangkok http://www.flickr.com/photos/10268776@N00/
Par70 Posted February 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2007 Mitch... You are probably right... ...but just for your own info....I had my D lux 3 already on October 6th...so they started shipping before November...
firoze Posted February 1, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 1, 2007 Apparently there will be a C-Lux 1 replacement around April. No idea if it will be based on the new Pana FX-30 or the current FX-07. This info is from a reliable dealer in Frankfurt.
firoze Posted February 1, 2007 Share #6 Posted February 1, 2007 The D-Lux 3 won't be replaced just yet. Not until there is a replacement for the Pana LX-2..
J Mitchum Posted February 1, 2007 Share #7 Posted February 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The D-Lux 3 won't be replaced just yet. Not until there is a replacement for the Pana LX-2.. I expect there will be an LX-3 announced in later this month and a D-Lux4 not too long after that.
J Mitchum Posted February 1, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 1, 2007 It simply defies logic to think that a camera that will have been out for four months woule be replaced by new model. Not really. If Panasonic announces an LX-2 replacement later this month a D-Lux4 will likely follow in April. That's over six months. An eternity in terms of digital cameras these days.
