Advertisement Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Hi dennersten, Take a look here Sooky-m/somky. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted January 31, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 31, 2007 I wait as You for real-field-use replies: in my opinion, technically speaking, there is not reason for not working, i.e., for not CORRECTLY FOCUSING, that is the real problem. Semi-official states fron Solms say that the rangefinder is "the same" as previous Ms and I had no problem with M6: if the mech-optics of the finder assembly has the same geometry, teorically there is no problem to have a correct focusing: I think there would not be problem of excess protrusion of the body cam inside the body itself (as seems to be with the Dual Range Summicron) for the SOMKY, seems to me, "simulates" optically a further movement of the cam itself (well, this is an opinion of mine: I have never gone in depth with this analisysis, surely some authority in the Leitz world can be more precise). Regarding the Viewfinder frames... boh ? Wait for reply from someone that has really tried
