PhilFarber Posted January 31, 2007 Share #1  Posted January 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have had my M8 since November and have been trying to get the authorization to send in in for the modifications. I was never contacted by Leica NJ, and I did register and got my filter confirmations. I call NJ several times a week and am always told someone will call me back. Sometimes they don't even seem to know there is a problem with the early M8's and tell me to just load the new firmware. I love the camera and have my filters, but I need to get the banding fixed. Does anyone know who to contact? I know some people in the US have had the fix done. Please any info would be appreciated.  Thanks  Phil

gesper Posted January 31, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 31, 2007 Send emails to service. In my experience they always answer. I did so and they told me to send mine in (back in early December).
xrogers Posted January 31, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted January 31, 2007 I spoke to Robert Fisk in the service department early January, told him I needed the camera upgraded by early March, and he told me where and how to send it. He knew exactly what was going on, and was efficient and courteous. Â Either speak directly to someone in service, or leave a message on the service department voice mail. I got a quick response both ways. If people in service don't provide satisfaction, leave a message specifically for Robert Fisk. I expect he'll take good care of your concerns.
