Early M8 Repairs in the US

I have had my M8 since November and have been trying to get the authorization to send in in for the modifications. I was never contacted by Leica NJ, and I did register and got my filter confirmations. I call NJ several times a week and am always told someone will call me back. Sometimes they don't even seem to know there is a problem with the early

M8's and tell me to just load the new firmware. I love the camera and have my filters, but I need to get the banding fixed. Does anyone know who to contact? I know some people in the US have had the fix done. Please any info would be appreciated.

I spoke to Robert Fisk in the service department early January, told him I needed the camera upgraded by early March, and he told me where and how to send it. He knew exactly what was going on, and was efficient and courteous.

 

Either speak directly to someone in service, or leave a message on the service department voice mail. I got a quick response both ways. If people in service don't provide satisfaction, leave a message specifically for Robert Fisk. I expect he'll take good care of your concerns.
