If you want a new one, you place an order and wait for them to make it for you. You can't compare the second hand market for M8s and MPs, IMO. You're right about that. I ordered a new MP two weeks ago. It will be ready in week 26! Bought developer/paper etc enough for five years. So I will have a lot of fun. A wonderful new camera. Enough material to keep me busy for all those year and if I still live in five years it will be time enough to worry about shortage. But personally I believe there will be always film available.
