Peter41951 Posted January 31, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted January 31, 2007 Lovely orchid shot. Excellent framing, depth of field just right and the white of the flowers is enhanced by the dark background. Â PS I'm trying to encourage mine to produce another couple of flower stems!
darkness30 Posted January 31, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted January 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you my friends for your valuable time and opinions. You always help me tune my compass in photography. Â Peter, My dad is very good at flowers now he has one pink Phlaenopsis with 4 flower stems on one strong stem and the flowers come up really big however he had to wait about a year or so with persistant daily care. Â John, what do you think about Fuji Reala ? Since i read a lot of negative posts about it however i think it scanns without any problem for me. Â Regards, Mehmet
leicamann Posted January 31, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted January 31, 2007 Mehmet..it was Paul Martino that got me"re-interested" in Reala..I too listened to the hype, I think it boils down how its exposed and who develops the film, the 1hr photo shop will probably ruin it. Its easy to scan an make a color profile for. The only complaint I have is unlike Kodachrome it starts to get weak with purples and yellows , especially large pure tones. But heck, our daffodils are almost ready to come out and Chinese New Years is coming...let me give it another try and we'll post the results in the "Film " section..see if it comes up to Leica standards. .
