Pronounced like the North African and Middle Eastern grain, the cuscus is a marsupial related to the northern hemisphere possum. They are an easily tamed very sweet animal (second photo shows a live one acting as a hat), which is hunted in the PNG highlands and lowlands for its meat and its fur (the fur being used in ceremonial garments).
