dfbldwn Posted March 23, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the Photo Forum, is there any search criteria I can use to restrict this website's Advanced Search to returning links to images from film cameras, not digital cameras? Searching for Threads Begun By Azzo is the only way I could think of, but I thought there might be a way to get more hits. Thx In Advance

wildlightphoto Posted March 23, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2011 IDK if this is common practice but I post the equipment used when I post a photo, so a search for 'Leicaflex' for example would exclude my DMR photos.
dfbldwn Posted March 23, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted March 23, 2011 IDK if this is common practice but I post the equipment used when I post a photo, so a search for 'Leicaflex' for example would exclude my DMR photos. Thanks Doug. Unfortunately I can't use your example, you're a bit of an exception. Your DMR work and commentary are among my greatest lurking pleasures on this website and your own. Whereas, searching on "Leicaflex" &/or "SL" will only rub my face in a bunch of KL200 shots, which are still too painful to view because I still miss that film, and your superior Kodachrome scanning skills (I snarl and shake tiny fist at you). When I want to endure that aggravation again, I'll login to your site with the password you kindly provided. Best, Dave

I don't believe there is any search criteria, but if you want to see some film images, I could (very immodestly...) suggest you to search my FLICKR Flickr: Mauro Metallo's Photostream
andybarton Posted March 25, 2011 Share #8 Posted March 25, 2011 It used to be common practice to include the equipment used in any photo thread as that is if interest to many people, but very few people do that these days. There is also the Tagging facility, which could usefully be used for this purpose, but rarely is.
qvsm Posted March 25, 2011 Share #9 Posted March 25, 2011 Flickr has groups for all sorts of film, tagging will get you to the body and lens used to take the shot. HTHs
