elansprint72 Posted January 29, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 29, 2007 Thanks chaps, this was something of a "test shot" for the V-Lux1, auto everything, just to see how it would cope, it's in colour, straight from the camera, except for crop and down-sizing. Quite a pleasant surprise really. Cheers, Pete.
505NJ Posted April 15, 2007 Share #6 Posted April 15, 2007 Nice photo, I am impressed every time you post a photo from the VLux1. Have you had any problems out of the VLux1??
elansprint72 Posted April 15, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted April 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Steve, Thanks, for your comment; this shot was from when I had just got the camera and I continue to be impressed by it's performance per unit of monetary currency! I have had no problems with it at all; the design is ergonomically superb, it's operations are logical (there are many features that I would never use but it is aimed at a very wide spectrum of folks). It has been interesting to see some of the superb V-Lux images posted here and elsewhere, it seems that it can tackle a wide variety of subjects and situations and deliver good results. What would I change? I absolutely hate the manual focus (the focus ring just goes round and round, unlike the D2, which works like every other camera I've used over the past 40 years), however, the auto-focus is fantastic and is certainly quick enough for my sports shots. I consider it to be a great package; 35-420 mm lens in a camera that measures 130mm front to back! If you are thinking about buying one, I'd say.... just do it!
