I was searching through ebay and came across this little inexpensive kit

which includes a telephoto lens, wide angle macro lens, filters and the adapter to allow use of everything.

Does anyone have experience with these add on lenses and filters with the adapter.

The cost seems cheap so I'm thinking the old "Buyer beware" saying applies but if anyone has achieved good results I would be interested.

Thanks for the feedback!

Charlie

Charlie,

I think you've pretty much nailed it with caveat emptor; I have no experience of this product but have tried similar in the past and the lenses have been spectacularly disappointing.:(

Add to that the 182 negative feedback over the past 12 months with a common theme of not receiving the item and I think I'd treat the BIN price as a donation and if anything turned up it'd be a bonus.:o

It would be interesting to see Leica's reaction to bag bearing the Leica logo ...

Pete.

Hello, I was about to buy it, but for some reason, I am not able to unscrew the front thread, so I didn´t bought it at the end.

I would advise you to test before buy if you can unscrew the thread which is mounted on the top of lens.

By other hand, don´t expect great quality on any of this chinese lenses. I asked the seller, and all is made of plastic.

Greetings

Welcome to the forum, Jyague!

With the camera turned off, remove the lens cap, press the front of the lens flat against the sole of a shoe and turn the body of the camera and the shoe in opposite directions. This applies the unscrewing force evenly over the whole surface area and should unscrew it.

Hi Pete, first of all, thanks for the welcome.

I read time ago in this forum the trick of the sole of the shoe, but I don´t like so much the idea of rotating my camera of 700 euros against any shoe sole or anything . I´m a coward on this sense.:D:D

The same day that I bought the camera, I tried it with my hands in opposite directions, and the camera flew away through the room....lucky, it landed over the bed. From this incident, I have decided never more unscrew anything tight enough.:D:D

Anyway, thanks for your solution.

Best Regards

Javier

Yes. I would imagine 182 negative feedback comments over 12 months could be a sign to shy away. Thanks for that! I never noticed.

As I figured, at that price you only get what you pay for!

There is a USA dealer with a Fisheye lens that I found interesting. Do you have any experience with that?

Thanks again for the feedback!
