Shootist Posted January 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok I have look through the other thread on M8 profiles in C1 but didn't really see anything for use with ACR. Is there one out there? C1LE runs OK on my PC, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo overclocked to 3.4 with 2GB RAM, but seems a little flakey. I would really like to use ACR for RAW adjustments and converting. I'm aboout to try to profile for ACR2 using the "INCamera" program. It worked pretty well to create a profile for my Canon 5D. If it works, I'll post the results. AlanJW Posted January 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 29, 2007 The InCamera profile stunk -- all washed out. I then used the ACR calibrator written by Simon Tindemans and derived from the one originally written by Thomnas Fors (as well as a variation done by Rags Gardner). If you are running ACR 3.6 you will want ACR Calibrator L version 2.5. The link below should take you there. You will also need a good color chart - Gretag-Macbeth was what I used. Your results may vary, as your preferences may vary. <http://www.xs4all.nl/~tindeman/raw/acr-calibrator-l.html> What I got is: Tint -20 Exposure 0 Shadows 0 Brightness 0 Contrast 0 Curve: flat Shadow Tint 0 Red Hue 38 Red Sat -44 Green Hue -13 Green Sat 3 Blue Hue 7 Blue Sat 23 I consider this a starting point when using ACR. I have not tried it yet in CS3 beta -- the raw convertor is much richer there -- may more opportunities to tweak -- or to mess things up. Hope this is helpful Alan
