I read that you have made your choice. But I will post this note in case anyone else reads this thread later.

 

For a classic leica lens, I would recommend the SUmmicron 50/2 DR with its close focus goggles. Now, as others have noted, haze and soft coatings can be an issue. That said, if you buy a good copy from a reputable dealer or seller, you will be getting a very versatile, vintage-character lens. And so well built!

Just a follow-up, the lens had haze visible through a flashlight test. It was $80 to get cleaned so the seller gave me $80 back. $332 in the end then for the lens wasn't a bad deal.
