Quick question about D-lux 5 leather case...

My fiance bought me the Leica D-lux 5 case and just gave it to me tonight (she arrived from Spain today)...

The leather is really nice and the build overall is very nice, but the metal (I am guessing it might even be plastic) on the strap and buckle isn't nice at all...

This wouldn't be a knock off would it? Has anyone else noticed that the metal isn't that nice?

It feels really inferior and like it might break any moment from use...

I can take a pic tomorrow...

thanks

Please post a photo here so we can check well.

Normally the quality of the leather cases of Leica is IMHO marvellous!

I have the case but never uses the strap - I use the case on my belt. Great case - use it like a pistol holster.

Guess I have to look at the strap which is still in the box now since you highlighted it

sorry was busy lately...

here is the pic... notice the rivets and D ring on the case itself seem to be a cheap material to hold such a nice camera and be on nice leather...

ps, I dunno why it isn't automatically coming up ? is that not allowed on the forum?

I cannot tell from the image if it is the genuine article or not but if it came in a Leica silver box and the part no and internal packaging add up then its the real thing.
