Advertisement Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Hi mike prevette, Take a look here 1.25 Magnifier --- HK Supplies. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
richedg Posted January 29, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted January 29, 2007 HI I ordered the Megaperls 1.35 magnifier and am delighted with it. I am in New Zealand and it arrived a week after the order. It makes focusing much easier with the 90 and 35mm lens that I am using. It does however make it harder to see the frame lines on the wide angle len. I am hoping that it will make the Nocti (to arrive some time in the coming weeks) much easer to focus at f1. Â Having the ability to adust the diopter is also a great thing. My glasses have three foucs area: top for far focus, middle for foucs for the computer and bottom for near focus. So I find that I will use the diopter adjustment to refine the clarity of the focus patch depending on how far away I am focusing. Â The 1.35 magnifier has a rubber rim and does not scratch the plastic lens of my glasses. I have no way of comparing it to the Leica 1.25 magnifier but I am very please with it. Â Best wishes
Guest guy_mancuso Posted January 29, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted January 29, 2007 The 1.35 sounds like you would not be able to see the 28mm frame lines, so I would think the 1.15 is the next best option for the adjustable one. leica 1.25 I can see the 28 frame lines and than if you went 1.15 you would be giving some magnification up. Hmmm. Â I wish I just knew what diopter would suit me than it be easy and just put that into the leica one and be done with it but I can't figure the diopter stuff out ,maybe I am dense on it as far as which one to use

BUT the Lecia viewfinder is at a MINUS -.5. So you need to add that into the mix. I have now ordered a +2, +1.5 for what I wear normally and another +.5 to compensate for the viewfinder negativity, and we'll see how that is. If you're going the other way would be the same. If you wore -2 then you would need a -1.5. -1.5 + -.5 = -2.
