I got Leica R8 & DMR

Can 2 cam lens work with DMR?

 

If not, when I get a 2 cam lens, where can I change to 3 cam in USA?

Yes 2 cam lenses can work with the R8. DAG or Sherry Krauter can do the conversion to you...give them a call.

I see that page, it says not recommend on R8/9 or DMR. but it can work with R8, why not can't work with DMR

Nakamura's compatibility chart isn't entirely accurate. For example, a 1- or 2-cam lens can't damage the ROM contacts. It's the first cam that would damage the contacts, and the first cam is part of a 3-cam lens which has been no problem on either of my R8/DMR bodies (and is show as fully compatible on Nakamura's chart). Also, stop-down metering isn't accurate when using a 1- or 2-cam lens on an R3-R8 body unless you test each body for the appropriate exposure compensation. My R4s body needed about 1.3 stops compensation. There are other errors too.
