j. borger Posted February 1, 2007 Share #41 Â Posted February 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It might be better to ask what use an unreleased firmware is to non-owners of unreleased filters. Â At least I offer this for free, today, which is more than rumors of an unreleased firmware ..... Edmund Well said Edmund, Â And i really appreciate what all the "profilers" including you and Jamie did for us. I am perfectly happy with my M8 without IR filters and am not even looking forward to the new firmware ......

kidigital Posted February 1, 2007 Share #43 Â Posted February 1, 2007 I'd agree, Guy. Edmund's latest profiles are very good. I've gravitated toward using his linear profiles for nearly all of my shots. I especially like the increased highlights of the linear profiles. They are very nice with black and whites. ptomsu Posted February 1, 2007 Share #46  Posted February 1, 2007 Hi Jaap, As Scott mentioned, I have the "Leica" filters here and they're made by Schneider/B+W. You must have read about that already, right?  Speaking to all, I wouldn't necessarily presume that the "Leica" filters will be more expensive.  Cheers,  Sean  Leica filters are B+W and labeled Leica  Peter

barjohn Posted February 2, 2007 Share #50 Â Posted February 2, 2007 I ordered and received my first 486 filter today (not the ones coming from Leica) and took a few test shots and I am impressed with the difference they make.
