Advertisement Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Hi billh, Take a look here Fine Tuning Debussy. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Rolo Posted January 25, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2007 Bill, very nice study in concentration. Compostition is very good in the first, but I'd prefer for his mouth to be less tense in the second. Camera performs very well with colours and sharpness. Lens drawing is beautiful. Trust you are well pleased with it. Lighting is well managed too - natural, but effective.
jmr Posted January 25, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 25, 2007 Bill, very good; such intensity of expression - I'd like to have heard the result.
stuny Posted January 25, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 25, 2007 Bill - I much prefer this to the overly mannered Najinski version of the ballet. Lovely catch, colors, light and framing. Are they both pianists?
billh Posted January 26, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 26, 2007 Hi Rolo, They were so intense I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots. Eric looked like that every time he made a notation on the music. What I did discover, and it annoys me, is the camera is now back focusing. http://homepage.mac.com/billh96007/Focus-test/PhotoAlbum205.html “I'd like to have heard the result.” JR, I attached a sound file - it was not this piano, but it is Eric, and that is the piece under discussion - http://www.erichimy.com/mp3/prelude.mp3 You would love being here during these sessions. I often wish there was a way to share this experience with others. Hi Stuart, Eric is a concert pianist (http://www.erichimy.com/)- that is how he earns his living. The other person is my personal chef, music maker and bride of 43 years. I have been trying to figure out how to convince her to play while I have my dinner, but she insists on eating too, since she did all the preparation.
